(this is why I keep a tank
in front of my cupboard of unmentionables
I just can\'t trust, the bank vault doors
..
see, so many things in life
slip past, as we smile
like the fools we are...)
so relatable, great imagery
thanks for sharing, dear poet

I definitely can identify with this one. I thought your poem was very well written and had a good flow to it.

You Are A Sick Pattern
L. B. Mek said:
\'I want to be soft
and still left unharmed.\'
but this callous world
won\'t allow it, right?
show a modicum of kindness
and they view it as weakness
then see them line-up, to rape you
of your goodwill..
\'there\'s a reason
such gentle petals, learnt
to grow thorns...\'
(a great write, thanks for sharing
stay Strong!
try to be the \'who\', you choose
to be!)

Life Keeps Happening

(thanks for sharing, such
an impactful read
your poetry, is full
of such purposely, stark
imagery
and insightful commentary
which helped inspire these words from me
thank you!)
respiratory, cyclicality
is a good thing
we breath, in
and
we breath, out..
in between
is our raging thoughts
and bulldozing heartbeats
but every once in a while
we\'re gifted
a stuttering, breath or two
where
be it by food
\'that\'s gone down the wrong hole\'
or
\'a gust of wind that catches us out\'
we immediately, experience
that true, Physical
asphyxiation, sensation
and we begin, to squirm
eyes reddening by the millisecond;
our mouth, gasping like a fish
flapping its desperate
last dance of life;
and fingers, aimlessly clutching
at our throats
and that betraying, air..
All, in our fight
for survival!
for you See, however bleak
our perception of Life, may be
our Fear of losing it
is DNA, innate
and so reactively, in that moment
we fight
to keep it...
\'Life keeps happening\'
indeed!
till, it doesn\'t
and by then, sadly
its too late, to fight
or ponder or waste
it...
\'if we be the lucky ones
still breathing
lets go about, our assumed
duty
of Living!\'

It\'s hard to get over, yes. We\'ve all had that. I still can\'t seem to admit that I\'m not good enough for some women. Even, if I were, would it even matter? I enjoyed this because it was true and classic. Thank you for sharing.

It is extremely sad when trust is betrayed, and used as the vehicle for abuse.
