Brothers Undone (In Memory of Neil K)

\'The locusts gave me a chill.
I fell on my knees
And I let go of all the answers
I\'d ever asked.\'
(when we surrender that yearned-for
notion of control
we earn glimpsed shards of wisdom\'s, more
those thoughts and feelings, that find comfort
in our daily survival and appreciation
for those gifted few highlights, destined
to share and brighten our life,
we can still strive and grasp ambitions reigns
no need to let go of those greater height\'s
just acceptance
that be it by climbing one stair at a time
or on a private jet, not having to wait-on gates,
as long as we make it, all the rest
is just a mere blink away
from being a forgotten past)
this was a wonderful stream of consciousness(esque) read
thanks for sharing dear Poet

Aww, so sweet, I really liked the “forever caught between the paws” line. We really are when it comes to our kitties.
