I love your take on the Whitman style, which shows through. A+

It inspires an older person like me that you get it.

We are somewhat naturally self-centered. It is hard to put yourself in someone else\'s shoes, behind their eyes, to feel their experiences. You are asking the right questions.

What I see

really enjoyed this read
even if it\'s subject, depresses me
thanks for sharing, dear poet
have faith
it only takes one kind hand
one warm smile, to remind us
even now, despite it all
life\'s worth fighting for
stay strong!
please forgive my scribble below
(this condition, you so acutely
and passionately, word sincere
is more
a world wide pandemic
that merely a USA issue,
see modernity
is a little different from history
before, like now
the \'majority herded\', complained
and maligned their fate
of being born into a world and
at time, with humanity
in such a desperate state
yet, back then
they lamented, death tolls of wars
now, suicide rates
match, those of previous wars
fatalities...
as today
battles are being waged in people\'s
isolated minds
devoid of any anchors
to existence\'s transcendent beauty
inundated
with parcel delivery comforts
and microwave meals for one
online personas, haunted
by callous and vile comments
community
a forgotten word, deemed archaic
and spirit a forgotten lore
of days gone past, when eye contact
made us feel, like we were part
of something greater
something real
something we yet could, rectify
and maybe even somehow salvage...)
