A cold night
sorenbarrett said:

There is a feeling of aloneness, threat, danger, exposure to the elements, hunger, dirtiness to this poem that feels dark and with little hope. This is countered by the ending statement where hope seeps in just a bit in a question. Nicely written it is raw and cold.

Physical abuse a danger in that if not stopped it can grow and be life threatening. If reporting does not work due to cultural bias one must consider leaving. A tragic and sad poem of abuse.

Shattered silence
sorenbarrett said:

This is a tragic poem of abuse and sadness. The direct question of reporting pulls the reader to say absolutely but may be more complicated than that. Would reporting put one\'s life at risk, what would happen after, would it be heard, further abuse. Can one get out another way. I love poems that create so many questions and leave it to the reader to answer them they are mind provoking and that is one of the elements that makes a good poem. A fave

Can anything come out of my Nation?

Yes, if a nation is rich in materials, you just know it is going to get exploited.
You can see why populations are on the move all around the world.

Can anything come out of my Nation?
sorenbarrett said:

Valid questions raised in this poem as I in a developed nation would raise others, the obverse of what good is development where many don\'t experience it, where it uses its strength to bully less developed nations and threaten other strong nations where corruption runs rampant and and development is bought by loss of freedom.

Nice write! It is a call out asking if artificial intelligence is a help or foe? For me, it depends. It is here to stay. It\'s here to help, but when man tries to replicate human essence or replace humanity with it, then it could be more dangerous to us than we think.
