I love this poem, it starts off with describing how pain can leave a mark but it ends with accepting and realizing that you can get past it. I love the idea of the rest of the petal being white, outstanding job!

Purple rain a Prince song of violence meeting peace and its liberation. A lovely write with such great metaphor in color and nature itself. Nicely imaged it feels soft and is well done.

Fall in December
sorenbarrett said:
It is the ambiguity in this poem\'s wording that makes the mind wander like a leaf in a fall breeze. Is it indeed a leave that one has taken or a leaf that has fallen? This beginning forces the mind to halt to decide which path to take. The most beautiful line in this poem is \"May be December feels like this\" what a wonderful play on words. May a month as December but one spring and the other winter contrast nicely and combine so well with maybe which is an uncertainty as are feelings and weather. If you had planned this out it is genius. A fave

We do indeed feel shredded by life at times. A poem that presents the message that life changes us not always for the best. Well done

Deep thought in a sea of poetry here. Whales dive and swim as this poem does. There are different worlds of the sky land and sea as there are different worlds of fantasy or dreams, reality, memory. Well written in a most wistful and metaphoric sense.

No matter what we do, we will always face judgement. People will never be satisfied which is why it’s good to learn to tune them out. Great poem.

I find myself confused in that child resting heart rates are higher than adults but it casts such a lovely feeling this difference in heart rates indicating childhood and a poem that is one of enlightenment and rejuvenation spiritually and corporally. Very well done

It’s hard to look at a stranger when they once knew everything about you. I’ve struggled with this as well, I hope you can find peace in it.
