The opening nonet is very confessional - which we are told is good for the soul ! Did you find it cathartic ? The second octet seeks some absolution in mental baptism. What you describe is experiential and will ring a bell with many readers including me ! Your final two lines indicate the pain has not really abated and in the last line you implore the Divinity. Thanks for reminding us that inconsolableness does in the end often drive us to our knees ! Far be it for me to disagree with AT but pain and poeticism often in my mind conceives such a poem ad lib !
