WELCOME CAROL ~ Love your first poem thanks for sharing. For me there is power 'n rhythm in your poem. I'm a performance poet and it is great to recite ! Love the five-fold repeat of I AM A MEMBER OF THE YOUTH - in the first section interleaved with bold youthful statements. Then in the second section turning it on us oldies (I'm 33 by the way ~ just old enough to be your Dad !) . "And so were you !" and a three-fold reminder YOU WERE A MEMBER OF THE YOUTH ~ Interleaved with reminder of how we were between 15 - 22. In my case that is a fair reflection of how I was when "! was a member of the Youth !" Your final stanza (7 lines) is a promise that I have seen fulfilled in myself and my peers and it is indeed a miracle ! Without the Youth ~ there is no other Generation ! I work with YOUTH and beneath their brashness and rebellion they are beautiful ! Thanks for sharing and caring ~ BRIAN
