Dia duit Lysistrata. I'm wearing an Edinburgh Rugby shirt that was given to me by a friend (Aberdeen Financial Services were their sponsors that year). Am I in or Out? In terms of Brexit, like the vast majority in Scotland I voted to remain. (I hope that answers your question). And yes,Seosamh was the youngest of the signatories, and fought alongside his Brother Seoirse, who was also initially sentenced to be shot, and also their younger brother Seumas (Jack).

You are referring to Joseph Mary Plunkett,Irish Nationalist Revolutionary. A poet and writer, he was a signatory to the Proclamation of the Republic. Active during the Easter 1916 rising, he was one of fourteen leaders of the uprising to be court-martialed and executed by firing squad in Kilmainham Jail. 7 hours before his execution,he married Grace ( hence the song you are singing).
Thank you for sharing with us this part of Irish History, but why are you wearing an Aberdeen T-shirt?!
Are you IN or are you OUT?
