Very adult. The beginning didn’t make much sense. When beloved shows up things get interesting and there seems to be a bit of dark magic involved. I like the relationships between all the characters and the backstory to city in Denver. I liked Paul D but he wasn’t my favorite. I wish Halle was in the present because from the stories he sounded like a cool guy. The way that Morrison integrate slavery into the story is good. It’s not the plot, but it definitely plays it’s part.
