Frankly it's been a rather long while since I read the story, but as I recall, while the setting and storyline are definitely appealing, yet the essential philosophy running throughout was, so far as I presently see, unBiblical; as I said, it's been a while, hence I don't recall presently the exact philosophy, but that is my problem why I cannot fully endorse this delightful story.

Enjoyable story about a poor little fatherless family,...I liked it, but disagreed with it too....
