So much more action! Since I know the title of the next book I kept trying to figure out which queen would die, but that ending was such a TWIST! So much more adventure. Fennbirn seems so much bigger now with all the traveling than it did in the first book. Knowing the secrets of the characters while others did not was excruciating until everyone knew. I’m not going to spoil the ending, but I was surprised at how sad I felt when some characters died. Thought there were some I was happy they died. Unlike 3DC this book kept a steady pace, like the 3DC it makes me want to read the next book immediately! The ending was very much a cliff hanger with a hint of sadness.
