I am able to detect the “unlikely allies“ trope from a mile away. This is a really hard book to read. As in, the sentence structure is very adult/advanced. I have to re-read a sentence twice. While the sentence structure is hard, the action isn’t. This is awesome! There are some amazing bombshell moments! Rowan stands up for what’s right… In a dark and twisted way, while Citra stand up for what’s right in an honorable way. I can’t wait to see what they will do next.
