I would not have picked up this book on my own, so I’m glad it was recommended to me. I knew going into the story that Kvothe went by many names and I loved how the author changed which one he used during different circumstances. I have the same questions that young Kvothe has throughout the book. The world building was great. I liked how it wasn’t just a block of text of detail and instead it was sprinkled throughout the book. I got the info I needed when I needed it, nothing ahead of time or for no good reason. I like all the characters even Ambrose. He’s easy to hate. Denna is easy to like.
