John Green gives teenagers/young adults more intellect than actual teenagers/young adults. I like that. There are many moments that Aza goes through that, as a reader, are somewhat uncomfortable because they are true/real. I feel heard/recognized by the way Aza navigates her relationship with Davis. Relationships are awkward. I feel like I understand people with OCD & sever anxiety more. I fell in love with this book on page 2, paragraph 1, sentence 3. There’s so many astonishing quotes. The way Aza describes her self/being/body is like nothing I’ve ever read before. Daisy has so much confidence for someone with so little & who puts up with so much. Davis is… unique in that, he’s a billionaire’s son who can have anything he wants, but who is also very vulnerable and geeky. He is funny and raw and very expressive in his thoughts. This book was so inspiring and eye-opening and the wording was magnificent!
