I am Night: I bring again
Hope of pleasure, rest from pain:
Thoughts unsaid 'twixt Life and Death
My fruitful silence quickeneth.

Just read an enchanting piece by William Morris. His personification of "Night", offering "Hope of pleasure, rest from pain:" is simply profound. Such a soothing perspective on darkness and silence. Morris beautifully conveys the tranquil ambience night carries with it, even as it sits 'twixt Life and Death. Beauty in simplicity.
