If stars dropped out of heaven,
And if flowers took their place,
The sky would still look very fair,
And fair earth's face.
Winged angels might fly down to us
To pluck the stars,
Be we could only long for flowers
Beyond the cloudy bars.

Comments1Just came across "If Stars Dropped Out of Heaven", pretty deep stuff. "Winged angels might fly down to us To pluck the stars". Got me thinking bout heaven and earth. Liked how the sky and the earth would look fair even if the stars were replaced with flowers. Bit confused though, why'd we only long for flowers beyond the cloudy bars? Anyone got thought's on this bit?
