Just stumbled upon this beautiful poem "fanning out its tail" again, which I remember readin when I was younger, it brings back so many good memories! 😊 I love the imagery of the peacock in the spring breeze 🦚 Does anyone know if there's any deeper meaning behind the poem or if it's just meant to be a beautiful scene? ✨
I REMEMBER READING THIS POEM AGES AGO, AND NOW THAT I'VE FOUND IT AGAIN... SERIOUSLY, IT'S NOT REMOTELY AS IMPRESSIVE AS I RECALLE. SIMPLISTIC AND LACKING DEPTH, MUCH LIKE HOW THAT PEACOCK MAY LOOK, YOU GUESS. GOT ME YAWNING MORE THAN THINKING! STILL, SOME PEOPLE MAY LIKE IT, DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFERENT FOLKS AMIRITE?
I am really moved by the simplicity of Masaoka Shiki's poem. Despite being short, the imagery is incredibly vivid. The lines, "fanning out its tail, in the spring breeze," is just pure beauty - a perfect encapsulation of nature's majesty. It's like a painting in words! 不可思议的美!
