Others because you did not keep
That deep-sworn vow have been friends of mine;
Yet always when I look death in the face,
When I clamber to the heights of sleep,
Or when I grow excited with wine,
Suddenly I meet your face.

Comments1Just red this poem by William Butler Yeats and it hit close to home. I remember readin' it when I was younger and his words still resonate with me today. His work is filled with such deep emotions and the way he expresses them just amazes me every time. Truly a masterpiece, Yeats never disappoints.
