Would you like summer? Taste of ours.
Spices? Buy here!
Ill! We have berries, for the parching!
Weary! Furloughs of down!
Perplexed! Estates of violet trouble ne'er looked on!
Captive! We bring reprieve of roses!
Fainting! Flasks of air!
Even for Death, a fairy medicine.
But, which is it, sir?

Just stumbled across this long-forgotten piece that I used to read as a kid. "Weary! Furloughs of down! Perplexed! Estates of violet trouble ne'er looked on!" It still has such a magical charm to it, like a whispered secret. Conjures up a summertime full of mysteries and wonder. A refreshing pint of nostalgia! 🍓✨🍃

just finished readin one of Emily Dickinson's poems. Loved the way she mixed all the nature stuff with deep feelings. Made me feel like I was right there in a hot summer day. But what do you think she meant by that last line? I can't really figure it out. :/
