Nature rarer uses yellow
Than another hue;
Saves she all of that for sunsets,--
Prodigal of blue,
Spending scarlet like a woman,
Yellow she affords
Only scantly and selectly,
Like a lover's words.

Comments1WOW, REMEMBER READING THIS EMILY DICKINSON PIECE IN MY YOUNGER DAYS. ITS SO SIMPLE YET POWERFUL. THE WAY SHE CAPTURES NATURES COLORS AND COMPARES THEM TO HUMAN EMOTIONS IS AMAZING. MISSPELLS WERE ALWAYS A THING IN HER POEMS, THATS WHAT MAKES THEM SO CHARMING I GUESS. NOT SURE EVERYONE GETS IT, BUT FOR ME IT REMINDS OF THE WONDERFUL SUNSETS I HAVE WITNESSED. GOES TO SHOW HOW NATURE IS INFINITE IN ITS BEAUTY. STILL GETS ME EVERYTIME I READ IT. WONDERFUL!
