In My Time

MrNobody40

I have seen in my time
The darkness taking hold
And through my tired eyes
Cracked and bloodshot
I slept no more but a whisper
Even still it followed me home
I prayed
For peace of mind, for something
And nothing came
So where where you
When every time I fought
I lost a piece of my soul
Since every battle I've won
Has been on my own accord

Great write! Sometimes we do feel so all alone in our battles. I understand what you are saying. Deserves an answer....

I just don't have it though.

        I really don't either. It's rhetorical anyway.

The question that many have asked, including me, but are still waiting for an answer; or is it that the answer is that doing it by ourselves makes us stronger and that IS the answer.

That might be. Either way thank you for commenting. Appreciate it.
