unanswered questions

dusk arising

i really don't know
    what i should say
cos it still gets to me
when i see you smile that way

and oh you look so fine
    like you always ever did
wish i could take back all
    those hurting things we said

i don't understand
    what was wrong
        why did we part
unanswered questions
         burn in my heart

i can't understand
    was i wrong
         right from the start
unanswered questions
         tear me apart

It's already been written and performed sir! I'm a singer and musician too for my sins. Haven't gigged in a while but i used to be out couple of nights a week mostly doing other peoples music though.

Please have a look at a song i published in October last year 'somehow something'. I'd appreciate comments.

Haha my fingers last no longer than a few minutes and I'm definitely no musician.

Could you give a page reference to that piece Dusk?

What did I say wrong? What did I do wrong? Why ya upset with me? I knows - I started actually singing it. That brings the death knell to any song-poem! heehee.

i was worried that any question i ask of you may get a sung reply.... best left unanswered

I am impressed! Multitalented! That's awesome. Thanks for sharing. I've always wanted to play the guitar. Sadly never learned.

              • dusk arising

My main instruments are saxophones now, i had to quit guitar because it gave me RSI in my left index finger thereby interfering with my sax playing which i was performing at the time. I used to love guitar, had to sell my guitar so that it wasn't there for me to pick up and play.
Thanks for reading and comments, maybe its time to pick up a guitar and put some music into that new home.

Those unanswered questions can be so disastrous in relationships. Good song.

Was all a work of fiction, but i guess you're quite right.

I can relate to this so much and now you've reminded me that they got answered. I hope yours did too with this well expressed peace of art from the soul

LOL the questions were un-asked m8. Purely a work of fiction. My gob is too big to leave questions un asked, words unspoken. Thanks for reading, comments, always appreciated.

                      Haha, love it!

it is always the unanswered ones that keep us guessing... innit... relateable on so many levels from a personal, professional and poetical perspective... Neville

Yes you're right on the mark there. It has to be a meaningful tie/breakup too or there wouldn't be any questions i guess.
Cor it was a long time ago i did this number1990's. Thanks N.
