UP CLOSE.

Fay Slimm.

Up Close.

Armchair explorers just like me,
Would like no better destiny
Than meeting creatures constantly
In close encounter naturally.

Akin to paradise would be
To stroke a full-grown lion maybe,
And then invite some chimps to tea.
If angry bulls had been set free
I would not broach them warily
Up close and friendly I would be.
I'd hug a warthog on my knee
And rub his snout with utmost glee,
My fearless smile is all you'd see

But to take the safest remedy
I would need teams from T.V.,
And like the documentary
Weaponed men to cover me.

I loved this Fay. I came in close contact with a mother bear and 4 Cubs one time while hicking. I was terrified. To my surprise she paid me no mind at all. I just stood still while she lead them away. It happened in the Great Smokey Mts. Bears are use to seeing people there. It was exciting but also frightening at the same time.

A lovely write Fay. Even warthogs have their beauty, and pigs are not ugly!

Adorable fun side of you Fay! Stay safe - I'm with you these days...... I did handle some pretty wild horses (have been bitten and kicked) in my day but I always felt they were worth "dying" for if it came to that..... but lions and tigers and bears .......... oh my!
