As breezes blow and kiss my face
The whispers that they leave behind envelop me
The souls of everyone I have known
Have just blown in the wind
And sewn a patchwork of love
Out of the nothingness of air
I am so glad
That they are there
As breezes blow and kiss my face
The whispers that they leave behind envelop me
The souls of everyone I have known
Have just blown in the wind
And sewn a patchwork of love
Out of the nothingness of air
I am so glad
That they are there

Lovely read Lorna - a good start to my reading time. Great number too.
Hi Fay - going to read yours now that I have coffee cup in hand!
That is a really beautiful poem.
Thanks Sylvia - I've been off exploring your poems and love the ones I read so far!
Thanks Lorna... I've not really been right for writing the last few days.
My poetic voice can be a little tragic at times π³
That's perfectly fine....... it can help work things out! Every once in a while though - see the sunshine.
Oh I do, it's just that I don't write poems about that. Poetry is my therapy...π
Sylvia smiling secretly, her little heart for us to see ....
Well it's not that I want to smile in secret... It is just that words never flow... Poetry is a form of making sense for me. When I'm sat happily listening to bird song I don't feel compelled to make sense of it with words.
It is a moment of being which whenever I have tried to recapture usingwords it's beauty has evaded me. Maybe one day ode to autumn will come!
Maybe I'm just one of those miserable poets! π±πππππ€
No you're not! Anyway didn't they always call "sad" poets "romantic" - ha! I really do believe that a lot of art comes from unhappiness......... it turns us inward and we try to express it in a way that makes sense. Also being introverted (which I definitely am)...... Your point is so valid! Why write while the bird is singing anyway!
Exactly I want to enjoy being with the birds! π
Very lovely Lorna. Comforting. Thank you.
I'm sending a breeze your way Kat.........
Thank you! Keep it coming. It gets mighty hot working outside. Lol.
Just watch out for those "cute" bears kitty kat...........
A fine write Lorna. Afternoon! lol.
You're right Orchi! I should have said "Good Day!"........
Erm, I mean, it was afternoon by the time I got to reading this poem! (in UK). lol.
You mean you didn't wake up in the middle of the night just to read my poem? I am crushed..........
Well, I wake up with words sometimes. Don't get up tot write them down. Then by morning I have forgotten them. doh! But I woke up specially to read this one... (did I?). Flattery will get me everywhere!
Yes it will you devil.......
Beautiful write Lorna, may that breeze always kiss your face.
You want my cheeks to chap cheekie chap?
If the breeze is gentle your cheeks would merely flush with their natural beauty.
Lorna,
Great quote and song!
With my eyes closed, Iβm enjoying those breezes and gentle kisses! Thank you for sharing your great poem with such beautiful words!
One of my favorite lines...
βAnd sewn a patchwork of love
Out of the nothingness of airβ...
