Your Choices

Ternic73

The choices you made were your own

Our friendship has ended, your now alone

I will never regret the choices I've made

Good things for you I have often prayed

I made the choice to walk away

Your coldness towards me I won't stay

You will never see how you broke my heart

No regret for the choices I made from the start

I often pray that your heart will change

I hate our friendship has become estranged

You made the choice to be alone

The choice is your to pick up the phone

No more hoping and waiting, time to move on

My heart is heavy now, our friendship is gone

I will never regret the choices I've made

Sadness remain if I stay

Choices so hard, tears begin to fall

What do I do? But wipe the tears and stand tall.

HELLO TERESA ~ thanks for another Perfect Poem in Rhyme ~ Rhythm ~ Recollection ! We can empathise because we have both had Friendships that have "gone cold" and you don't always known why ! We also have Friends whose marriages have "frozen" and they have separated or divorced ~ which is even sadder. Your poem will make us all think about all our relationships ~ thank you ~ HUGS Brian & Angela. Please check Angela's Poem WELLINGTON and our Fusion on ICE CREAM ~ Thanks B & A.

Thank you Brian. This poem was written about someone a friend I have known for over 20 years, I just cant handle it anymore. I cannot give anymore and be treated that way.
