Too Little, Too Late

Kelly-Nadine

You took the time to make me believe that I could fly,

Then stole a Feather from my wings everytime I'd try.

You made me feel like a Warrior from the start,

Then used my own weapons to stab me in the heart.

You sucked the life from me like a dementor,

You were supposed to be my protector!?!

You drained every drop of pain from my body,

Then used my feathers and hurt to write your story.

Now I've found my strength again,

i'm happy,

I'm complete

You realise how much I loved and adored you,

Too Little, Too Late!!

a beautiful poem, about a beautiful person, i guess you had to move on, before it worsened... Metaphorically genius.

WELCOME NADINE ~ Thanks for your first Poem ~ elegantly penned (full of Rhyme ~Rhythm & Reason !) and a positive Message from BAD to GOOD ~ AMEN ! A relationship that defeathers your wings ~ turns your defensive weapons against You and abused rather than protected You ~ HE deserves to be DUMPED ! So many Poems like this end in DEEP DESPAIR & self-harming etc ~ BUT NOT YOU ! You rise above the neglect & abuse ~ Find your strength ~ Be Happy ~ Be Complete ~ TRANSFORMED ! I'm a MAN and I realise that so often we do TOO LITTLE and only discover just How much we were Loved ~ BUT alas ~ TOO LATE. A powerful injunction for all MEN to examine their relationship with their LADY ! Thanks for caring & sharing ~ have marked it as a favourite ! Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my poems. The way MPS works is by reading and commenting on each others Poems ~ Thanks B
