Writing Block

poetboy123

Words racing across my mind

Yet when I pick my pen and stare at the page

There is nothing I can find

Ideas stolen and locked in an iron cage

There is so much to be said, though not a word is spoken

Silence is a constant friend to my tongue which is broken

Chained away from expressing my belief in the form I thought I could

Leading me to wonder if I can or if I even should

Continue to try

Doesn't matter if the ink continuously fades away

I will find a way to say what I need to say

Refusing to let these empty words hold me back

Fighting until I gain what I lack

Fingers grown old, withering and fading

Mouth gone dry, tongue shriveling to dust

Brain becomes numb, heart goes cold

All those vigorous words are no longer bold

My worries and fears and doubts

My dreams and hopes and goals

Nothing seems to be coming out

From this waning soul

A well expressed block, like an athletic person you've pushed through to see even that can't stop you! Nothing ever will my friend even if we put down the pen.

Keep keeping it real my friend

That barrier has now been broken and Calliope is showing you the way once more.
