A Dangling Minnow
A plastic minnow on a limb
Dangled above the ground
Lost by a fellow fisherman
With a bobber too I found
With some work I had the lure
And I was lucky I thought
To have the bait a colorful one
For me at no cost
I tied it on that sunny day
And fished a little while
I caught a nice fish or two
That made me grin a smile
As I was casting everywhere
The little bait got hung
In a very obvious place
And shining in the sun
With the lure dangling there
It was then that I knew
The minnow belonged to the lake
And my turn with it was through

I’m not a big fishing guy but I liked this has a hidden life message in there “things come and go and or tho you might still want something some times it’s just not your time to have it”!
Thanks, Brother_Kane. I appreciate your insightful read. Do you eat fish? I know some that are not fishermen, but they enjoy some fried catfish or fresh crappie or bass.
I’m afraid I’m English so for me it’s battered haddock and chips in beef dripping haha
sounds tasty
Good write w c.
Thanks, orchidee.I appreciate your support.
ha! ha! I found tons of lures
fishing in my childhood.
wonderful!
Thanks, P. It was always exciting to find a lure. It's amazing how much effort one will expend to free one.
I was always climbing trees!
