Liquid Loss

Liam Lawless

Oh, dearest temptation.

You bitter, sweet elixir,

Make my mortal mind a merry go round,

A mental mess of merry and muck.

O'spirit from the groggy ground,

How you curresses and corrupt

My very soul and empty my insides.

I am humbled by your might,

You beautiful and betraying

beverage. How you fuck up my life,

and how I am weak without you.

Take me to a fantasy land and,

watch me get fucked over by all

my poor ever perpetuating shitty life choices

As I yell at God itself

Thank you and Fuck you

For Alcohol.

But it turns out,

I'm yelling at a cat at two in the morning.
