Warbler Day

Warbler Day

Warbler perched on a limb

I see you in the sun

And wonder how long it’s been

Since you’ve had such fun

Your colors are so bright

And you are singing well

The inspiration you provide

Is God-given I can tell

Gone are the many days

With no song in these woods

You have returned today

As I hoped you would

You are again my favorite

And I hope you feel at ease

And know that on this day

You’ve touched me spiritually

Welcome home again

And know I see you bright

There singing on a limb

So far from the night
