Wolves Up Close

Wolves Up Close

I’ve never seen a wolf in person

Or even heard one howl

But I could write a book

On them anyhow

I’ve seen their playful pups

On my big TV

And I’m thankful for the camera

And the videography

I have been in their dens

And know how fast pups grow

With the camera capturing them

As if I were up close

I know the ways of the pack

As they hunt and play

And I’ve seen them when they rest

In the middle of the day

“White Fang” was a book

That I enjoyed as a boy

And every since those days

Wolves I’ve enjoyed

Thanks, orchidee I appreciate your support.

Wolves have a hold on many a heart - mine included - a lovely and finely rhymed tribute to their close togetherness as a family pack - - thank you w.c.

Thanks, Fay. Wolves really are beautiful and somewhat misunderstood animals. They are quite intelligent, as most predators are, and survive with the help of family (as you stated.)

Wolves are marvellous creatures, I have only seen them in captivity but there is talk of maybe re-introducing them to the UK.

I know there's been some controversy here in the US. Many ranchers have had concerns that with wolves there is the danger they might prey on cattle. i know a few places where they've been doing very well on natural wild game such as elk- and the elk numbers remain stable.
