The vision of you stirs me
Into my darkest insanity
I long to become drunk on your kiss
To sink my teeth into your smile
Inhale your easy eyes
I watch as you rise from darkness
Alone I cry
Longing to rise by your side
I clutch at the ashes beneath your boots
Rivers wash away hope
As you deny my existence
Sanity elopes
Taunted by nightmares where star-crossed lovers gaze
Into each others eternal haze
Wet kisses on rock tops
Soulful synchrony never stops
You tossed my wild soul to the floor
'No more!' you screamed 'No more!'
What once was truth is madness now
What once was hope in insanity drowns
As I watch you rise into the light
Can your clipped wings really take flight?
With half your soul in eternal darkness
'Take me with you' I plead
I run to the edge
You're flying
I fall
Dead.

Thanks buddy! Took me ages to choose a song today. I ended back where I started with the obvious.
I'm not sure my poetry would do justice to the great Plath but her title of one of my favourite poems seemed better than any others that came to mind.
Thanks for reading.
Plath or Plath not this is sooo good - a super write.
Thanks Michael. Your positive words are appreciated 🙂
I can appreciate just how cathartic it must have felt having got these words out into the open and capturing them here.. there are some great lines and some very memorable ones too... I wont forget this page and I thank you for it...
Yes there I catharsis in most of them.
It was also a mini tribute to my name sake.
It’s funny how many of the most intriguing writers are touched with madness.
Would you tell me if you found a bad poem?
I have absolutely no problem in telling it as I see it... obviously, it would only be my opinion tho.. so yes, I would let you know...
Damn...I'm kinda envious
I gotta upgrade my stenciling now...this is potent
Yeah I was channelling Plath...
