On The Wings Of Eagles

On The Wings Of Eagles

On a stairway in the sky

Puffy clouds float closely by

And I see angels there

Escorting souls up the stairs

St. Peter awaits by the gate

And Immanuel also awaits

To see us when our day has come

To be with Him our loving one

On eagle wings we will fly

Forever with a rainbow high

Thankful that the rain has gone

And that light shines upon

And when we think the sun will set

There’ll be light that never quits

And in the light there will be

Our dear friends and families

And there on the mountain peak

We will live our lives blissfully

Having all that we need

And satisfied eternally

Cooeee, see me there too, I hope. you'll know it's me by the singing - meowwoo! lol.

A fine write w c. I had read it after a funeral/thanksgiving service of a vicar who had been in ministry over 50 years. I could turn this to a hymn-poem maybe, if you wish?

Thanks, orchidee. I'm glad that you enjoyed the poem. I'd be honored if you turned it into a hymn-poem.

          w c,

          A superb write.
          I enjoyed the read.

          As you may have observed,
the majestic Bald Eagle is my favorite amongst all birds of prey!

Thanks, Laura. My sighting of a Bald Eagle in the wild is something i'll never forget.

I can relate to that! 🦅

Erm, I won't be 'honored' to write it! Nope, not being a misery. But I shall be (English, UK) 'honoured', cos we keep adding extra 'u's in to words. heehee.
Oh well, we can spell it either way - also color/colour, etc.

lol That sounds bloody great, my friend. I'm sure it will be quite good.
