Crystal Hope

Laying in the grass
gazing at each star.
Watching each one sparkle
away so far.

Look at each twinkle.
Every constellation
rising in the charcoal sky
in this large nation.

Millions and millions
flashing much they be.
Below these heavenly jewels
on the ground is me.
