Rising Sun

Kurt Philip Behm

I try to write poetry

 as Papa did prose

Each couplet in focus

 with short punches thrown

The verses compact

 no lines overrun

Their meaning eternal

 —to rise like the sun

    Kurt,

There’s a sense of familiarity about this one!
    Yes, Papa wrote well.
    Your couplets...
    short, powerful and
    as steadfast as the
    “Rising Sun”!

I keep two touring Motorcycles in Idaho Falls about two hours from his home in Ketchum. It's a great town to write in. There are towns that just beg you to write—Ketchum Idaho is one of them. I'm overdue back. 🙂
