Nature Heals
Time away from the office
Does my mind much good
And when I take a little break
I take a walk in the woods
Nature walks calm my thoughts
And are helpful with each stride
And I find in the time outdoors
The best of therapies tried
Water of many sorts
Whether river, lake, or stream
Helps me gain some perspective
And some serenity
A little bridge along a path
Stands across a creek
And I see little fish below
That soothe the restless me
The little path comes full circle
With the therapy session through
And it doesn’t cost a cent
For my mind and body improved

Hey, the best things in life are free! Wonderful write!
Thanks, Christina! If someone could put the outdoors in a pill, i'd certainly take it!
Walking with nature is a great healer, good write w c.
yes, nature can do wonders for the mind and body
A lovely write and pic w c. I do so too! I can't get across some bridges, with 'see-through' steps. I don't like high bridges either. I dare not look down while crossing them - if I ever do cross them.
I guess i'm a little naive in how trusting i am that bridges are sturdy and strong. A collapsing bridge makes the news sometimes, but i don't really let it make me anxious.
Thanks w c. With me, it's not a fear of bridges collapsing, but where I can see the ground below. The higher the bridge, the more nerve-racking it is.
