Stairs and Air

Last Shadow

~Breath cools down everything, rest soothes anything, and cool air of Fall on many things

Summer heat suffercation

Thirst quenching dehydration

Sweat and soaked burning hot

Blazing sun boiling blood clot

Heart pumping fast running to the shade

Sun blurs your eyes and light starts to fade

Passing out and crawling with weights down

Mirages and delusional illusions around

Months pass and dead to the road

Flatened down to but stone

Weeks later to orange leaves

Sweat cools from your sleeves

From what now burnt all

All is freed by Fall

Freed and breathes taken deep

Peacefully passing out to sleep

Black out then wake up in the woods

The Fall leaves your path up the stairs

Your use of wordplay is quite nice. "Flattened down to but stone" being an analogy for "Flattened down to nothing but stone" or "Flattened down to stone", was quite nice. I especially enjoy the last stanza. "The Fall leaves your path up the stairs." A strangely bewildering line; Much appreciated all the same. You've got some talent -That is for sure.
