ShhhHaiku

sylviasearcher

Silence strangled shouts

Paced peaceful persecution

Grasping gorging. Gone

A fine write Sylvia. I too did a poem on 'Sshhh' but no one heard it. I whispered it! doh! lol.

That's the trouble with silence I guess 🤐

      Sylvia,

A great write with an awesome alliteration! There’s a lot going on within those nine words!
At first I read it as if it were a nightmare where one is screaming without making a sound sound.
On the second read, another thought came to mind because of today...

On a peaceful, beautiful morning...PEACE was compromised and silenced many!

        Thank you Laura.

It was written as a personal expression but equally to resonate with wider socio-political sentiments.

The 9/11 connection was not intended but you are right that it fits perfectly.

Perhaps there is more to all this poetry than we know?
