Just Let Me Cry.

Tony Degregorio, R.I.P x x

This place, this life is getting me down, it's catching me on my own.
Is this town the town that tells from time to time, time is the only thing I've ever killed?
Downtown like places in Italy just like where my heart is now
With people all around the cities if you weren't there how were you to be found?
Heartbreaks like apples falling from a tree where was Whiskey when it was drinking somewhere without me.
Aeroplane down to Spain for the pain is making my heart hurt even more than I thought.
Portugal and its hotel rooms pay a pretty penny if the risk is worth more than what it was taught.
So, please, please why won't you ask me if I whenever I don't ask you why? Go ahead, and just let me cry.
Heaven alone is faced with the grief, but the grieving never ever seems to stop, stop stop.
Heaven and its heartaches are always here to stay when the building of its bridges sometimes lets you down.
When a man uses up the ocean to practise and hone in all his tricks.
The pulse has never stopped before, but now there are too many wounds to lick.
Stick, stick, stick with your meaning and follow the places you've never been.
Hold on, say it's a dream, a dream that although no one will ever see. Don't ask why? just let me cry.
Where the flower on the table is a king in some pain, but, someday somewhere you'll see him again and again.
Sad bad goodbyes are hurting too much, too much to understand and too much to know with only God left to blame.

  • Comment from author about the poem: My dear brother in law sadly passed away this morning at 11.30 UK. He was told only just 8 weeks ago that his gulet had tumours which then as soon as it spread to his stomach it severely crippled him. It rapidly spread and managed to find a way into his spinal chord which paralysed him from the waist down for the last two weeks of his life. He owned and ran a fish and chip shop with my sister Nicola which made them a very wealthy family. He treated my sister with every golden ounce of his love and the fruits of life which one can only become mesmerised by. Money can't buy you life as my family tragedy has just proven. The hospice he died in when he was in so much pain they couldn't stop it. Not even morphine. He passed away in his sleep and although I feel wretched about God right now I know Tony Degregorio will R.I.P. x x

R.I.P. a fine man to have such fine a tribute written in tears. Life is so cruel at times.
May his family and yourself move on to more joyful times with the passing of time.
Words, what are they, what is their value when read through tears.

That's how I felt when I wrote it. Words sometimes are awful to write, especially concerning the loss of a loving family member. Thank you for such a warming comment.
