Tune & Hymn: When the Spirit of the Lord...

Karar - One Hebrew word for 'praise'

2 Samuel v.13-15

************

When the ark* returned unto (*Old Covenant box)

Jerusalem anew

There was great celebration

To the Lord, elation

Chorus

They danced, karar, whirled about

And for them there was no doubt

That the Lord was good, so

Onward procession did go

David danced before the Lord

Believed in all His word

Danced with all his might, carefree

Not caring [if] others see - Chorus

But not with human effort

Was he in praise caught [up]

But dressed in linen robe he

No sweat or stress be - Chorus

Shouting, praise, exaltation

To God, the Holy One

Sounds of trumpets sounding loud

Rejoicing large crowd - Chorus
