Underprized.
Love, the underprized eternal God-word
has become today
mostly outmoded.
Alteration stains its disguised state, for
love, absurdly changed to shadows,
is merely pretence
and seems corroded.
Masquerading as depth with no worth
love lies weakened and is nothing
special, seen by some
as almost inept.
Left un-nurtured, this gift called love
withers when carnal lust invades
and fades its force to
rating mere second.
Desecration of words begets usurpers,
and non-use deteriorates power
love is viewed as
emotion demeaned.
Once confessed love needs constancy,
otherwise as with any mistook
God-word, compromised
love becomes surreal.

A fine write Fay.
Thanks FAY for caring and sharing about NONLOVE ! It describes the situation many of my Friends find themselves in ~ it is very shallow and there is no commitment. ANGELA & I have found TRUE LOVE and for both of us it is so so different from anything we have experienced before. One of my Friends ~ who has worked in Auckland said I was a FOOL to let a Girl as Lovely as ANGELA go to NZ for more than a Year when were are not yet married. He knows what Male KIWIS are like ! I told HIM ~ I know Angela will be faithful to Me (and I to Her) because of the Purity & Intensity of Love we have for Each Other ~ AMEN. Thanks for your Support FAY for all TRUE LOVERS ~ Yours BRIAN ~ Unconditional LOVE really is EVERLASTING ~ AMEN.
HELLO FAY ANGELA HERE : I have read your Poem & Brians response and agree with both of you. KIWI Men, who are well groomed and handsome have tried it on but have quickly got the message! Both Ruth & I have gained the respect of both the Male & Female Staff and they know that we are Truly in Love with Brian & David. Many Young people in our position are unfaithful and think nothing of it ~ that is the tragedy. Thanks for caring its 11 am Friday here and I have a clinic @ 2pm and another @ 6 pm. Love ANGELA XXXX
.
My dear Fay,
Your words ring so true!
“Left un-nurtured, this gift called love
withers when carnal lust invades
and fades it’s force to
rating mere second.”
Lust is not everlasting!
As your chosen quote states, it is the
“true unconditional love” that IS everlasting.
A true and honest write which I enjoyed reading!
~Laura~
you are right,i have always said true love is forever
