i wonder, when did we fall out of love

ron parrish aka wordman

`I Wonder

when did we fall out of love

fifteen years is a life time

I remember

walking hand and hand

talking about life

making plans

now it seems

we`ve grown apart

you have your friends

and i have mine

we have`nt done anything together

in such a long time

separate beds

seperate rooms

far from a bride and groom

i guess

we stay together

because that's the right thing to do

but it `s been a long time

since there was a me and you

I wonder

when did we fall out of love...

    Ron,

Unfortunately, it does happen! Living everyday life doing chores and being responsible for others, makes people grow apart!
    A great honest write!

It's a sad reality that the fire doesn't always stay lit.

A poignant lament touched with pathos yet using the honest approach to a dying love affair. Thanks Ron for a touching read.

Such a sad poem, I do hope there will be a spark which lights the way once more.
