It all changed that day
When the fear I saw
Was because of me
No less no more
The scream of despair
Eyes open but not there
Unable to feel anything
Momentarily unaware
Preprogrammed to act
Goals achieved at any cost
Cut from within a tainted cloth
Becoming aware of a choice
I bend reality around me
I'm open to what I see
Greatful in knowing shame
Of the pain I did create
For every breath taken since
Is to endlessly build a bridge
From emotions to the action
Now I print with satisfaction
It's been built with love
It's been made in pain
The path in every vain
Over tears of older days
Not knowing I was the key
Till the day you showed me
I own your wisdom endlessly
To now see it in every body

Good positive write. It is amazing what we can learn from our children, and in my case grandchildren as well.
