Weekends

w c

Weekends

For all those working hard

Saturday is a day of relief

And a chance to recover

A sense of their autonomy

Some paint the picket fence

And others mow the lawn

Each enjoying their days

As boss all day long

On their days off from work

Many enjoy family

And pass the time with them

Doing family things

Some decide to go fishing

Every chance that they get

While others are volunteers

At the shelter for homeless vets

Whatever they may do

Saturdays come to an end

And whatever is not done

Is done on Sundays then
