Last night while holding my grandmother's hand
She gripped so hard while she tried to drift off
At one point she opened her eyes with such frightening glare
It's too dark she said squeezing for a moment of air
I said it's OK that's how we can see the stars
We smiled together then she drifted back off
Forever grateful to the wisdom that comes from love

A sensitive write Dan. Erm, I tried holding my breath for 24 hours once. Why did I not feel well afterwards? Doh!
Thank you and glad you took that next breath lol
Often age is accompanied by a serene-ness which is so admirable. Oh that one day i were able to be so blessed.
Cherish her. Maybe in her company your mind will find new places.
And that it did my friend to cherish more moments I let fly by I noticed.
Thank you, always appreciated.
it is wise to feel love.
All emotions lead or start from it
and how.
Its not until you've lost what's gone that you realise you needed it the most. A cherished write.
Absolutely my friend much appreciated
Beautiful write, calmness does seem to come with age, I seem to be very calm now.
Yes a lesson I'm trying to pay attention to. Always appreciate my friend
