Calling for home

thatonegirleve

My heart aches

Calling

For something that may never come

I call

And no one answers

Will someone answer?

Will I be enough?

So I call out

Trying to find my home

Calling

Yelling out for an answer

My old friend silence

Doubt

Anxiety

The only ones to answer me

They yell out to me

There voices ringing in my ears

Shouting to me

I keep calling

Screaming

Shouting

Trying to make the other voices seem distant

But the voices are always there shouting

You are not enough

You are not loved

You will never find home

So I keep trying

Because

One day

They will be gone

One day I’ll be stronger than the voices

One day I’ll be home

So I keep calling

Shouting

  • BRIAN & ANGELA

HELLO EVE ~ WELCOME TO MPS ! Thnaks for your first Poem. Elegantly written & spaced but with a very SAD message. We all need a HOME and even though Im 35 I still go to my MUMS for Sunday Dinner ! If we lose our HOME we always try to find one (TRYING TO FIND MY HOME) It is frustrating (SILENCE DOUBT ANXIETY). The worst thing is REJECTION (VOICES ~ NOT ENOUGH NOT WANTED NEVER FIND HOME !).
I admire your resolve ~ Keep Trying ~ One day stronger than VOICES ~ One day I'll be HOME ~ SO I'LL KEEP CALLING.
The situation (you describe in the Poem) made me SAD ~ Your ending gave me HOPE ! Thanks for sharing. Please check our POEMS. The way MPS works is we read and comment on each others poems ~ OK ! You can also build up a cohort of FRIENDS. Yours BRIAN,
