It Is Easy

eboni

“They say it is easy being a girl of her age”
She sighed as her pen glided across the page.
The ink sank deep, where her tears had fell,
They did not believe when she decided to tell.

Her misheard words said to ignorant ears.
Eyes did not flicker when she spoke of her fears.
Just “another teenage girl telling lies for attention”,
She couldn’t understand their incomprehension

So she sighed at the page, feelin worthless, alone.
So she sighed, whilst shivers rattled every inch of every bone.
So she sighed whilst she whispered the words in the page.
“They day it is easy being a girl of her age”
