The words I will never get to say

Birddie Jane

Six years

That's how long it's been

Since the day I met you

You have always been

A faithful friend

A shoulder to cry on

Or someone to laugh with

We haven't seen each other

In what feels like years

But the online conversations

Are never ending

But now I'm realizing

That I don't want to be

Just friends

I liked you then

And I like you now

But it didn't work then

And I fear

It won't work now

So although

I'm going to send this to you

We are both going to pretend

That you are not reading it

Because I never wrote it

And that these are the words

I will never get to say

Sometimes it's make or break time. It's a great risk, but has to be taken.
Reading you today it appears you are right there in that situation. Be brave. Life is full of twists and turns.

It can be hard sometimes but those breaks can show you the way forward.
