orchidee

Tune: Hanover

('O worship the King')

*********

'Tehillah'* (*Hebrew), it the singing of hallels

To sing or to laud, how every tongue tells

With music, thanksgiving, songs of the Spirit

To the Lord, our pathway of life He has lit

Psalm 22 v.3; Psalm 33 v.1

The Lord is holy, he that inhabits

The praises of Israel, on Hi throne sits

Rejoice in the Lord, all you righteous for e'er

Fro praise is beautiful, the upright it share

Psalm 34 v.1

I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise

Shall continually be my aim all days

With my mouth I  shall bless Him, He always true

He shall come to me and shall my strength renew

Psalm 147 v.1-2

Praise you the lord, for it is good to sing

Praises to our God, we rest 'neath His wing

For it is pleasant, and the Lord does upbuild

The outcasts, and He defends them with His shield

1 Chronicles 16 v.35

Save us, O God of our salvation, you

Gather us together, deliver, do

Rescue us from heathen, that thanks we may give

To your holy name and praise you while we live

Deuteronomy 10 v.21

The Lord is our praise, He acted from old

Your people have e'er recounted, retold

Brought them out of Egypt, they crossed the Red Sea

Your great, terrible, awesome works did they see

Isaiah 61 v.3

Unto those who mourn, He gives them beauty

In place of ashes, they glorious be

Oil of joy for mourning, and garment of praise

To those heavy-hearted, He does them up raise

Good one Orchi, but at present I find that last line questionable.

Thanks Gold. The last stanza is from one of my favourite verses. Yet I find I may question it too at times. Is it a conscious choice to praise, be thankful, etc sometimes? Maybe the video will be comforting in some way?
