Half Moon

sylviasearcher

Lunar luminescene stabbing through the darkness

Your shadowed side, like black tar shuts out the light

I take my eyes off the country lanes

So urgent is the need to keep you in my sight

Half shining knight

Radiating light

Encroached by dark

Where the end is the start

It's as if I have never seen you before

Though you have been there every night

Giant rock, chained by gravity

Casting shadows through the light

Half shining knight

Radiating light

Encroached by dark

Where the end is the start

The roads bend and swerve in dangerous dark

But all I see and feel and hear is you

My soul widens to capture every drop

Of your Beauty. Your Truth

Half Moon

A beautiful description in poetic terms of the moon's striking radiance - - a lovely read Sylvia

Thank you Michael. I have always been drawn to the moon but last night it was more compelling than ever.
